How to fix common issues with DEX trading wallet passkeys?

1. What happens if I move my passkey to a device that doesn't support it?

Your DEX assets will still appear in your wallet, but you won't be able to use DEX trading functions on that device.

2. What if I see a message saying the maximum number of passkeys has been reached?

Each DEX trading wallet allows multiple passkeys, but there's a limit. If you see this message, go to Passkey Management and remove any passkeys you no longer use before adding a new one.

3. When do I need to reset my passkey?

You'll need to reset your passkey if your old device is lost or you accidentally delete the passkey.

4. What if I lose my passkey?

If only one passkey remains, you won't be able to delete it. In this case, you must reset your Exchange passkey first.

Once reset, you'll receive an email link to set up a new passkey for your DEX trading wallet. The old one will automatically become invalid. Make sure your registered email is active and able to receive emails.

5. Can I use my passkey on multiple devices?

If syncing doesn't work, you'll need to scan a QR code with your old device to authorize, or recover your passkey via email.

6. What should I do if a security check blocks me during wallet release?

The system will show the type of risk detected. You can either follow the on-screen instructions to amend your wallet address and try again, or choose to ignore the warning and continue.

7. What's the difference between DEX trading wallet passkeys and passkeys for Exchange or Pay?

The DEX trading wallet and Exchange share the same passkey. To use it in DEX, you'll need to authorize it on Exchange first.

The Pay passkey is separate and doesn't affect your DEX or Exchange passkeys.

8. How do I transfer my assets if my device doesn't support passkeys?

Asset transfers must always be approved with your personal passkey. Our platform cannot modify or use your passkey on your behalf.

If your device doesn't support passkeys, you have two options:

  • Switch to a supported device (iOS 17+ or Android 14+ with Google Services enabled).

  • Use wallet release to transfer control of your wallet and manage assets independently.

9. After resetting my passkey, will I need to wait before using DEX again?

No. Once reset is successful, you can use all DEX trading functions immediately.

10. Is the email used for resetting tied to my cloud account?

Your DEX trading wallet email must match the email linked to your Exchange account:

  • If you reset your Exchange email, you'll need to confirm it also works for DEX.

  • If it doesn't, follow the on-screen instructions to re-bind a new email for DEX trading.

11. What do the passkey labels mean?

You can manage your passkeys by navigating to Profile & Settings > User Center > Security > Passkeys

  • If there's a DEX label that appears on your passkey, it means that this passkey can be used for both Exchange and DEX transactions.

Example of passkey has Dex label

  • To use it across different chains, you can check the activation status for each chain:

    • Activated chains: Ready to use, no further action is needed.

    • Inactive chains: Require authorization to activate before use.

  • If there's no label on your passkey, it means the passkey is currently limited to Exchange only transactions and can't be used for DEX.
