Moving onto the next trade is important. I know a lot of guys who sold $SOL at $20 and never got back on the train; they kept hoping to see it dip back down to $15 or whatever. Rebuying higher is actually a skill that's essential to learn in bull markets; each trade is independent of each other.
Buying back higher than you sold is one of the hardest things to do. It forces you to confront your own impatience and ego. Most early exits happen not because the thesis broke, but because emotion took over or new information hadn’t yet surfaced. When the picture becomes clearer and the market reprices, many can’t bring themselves to re-enter they’d rather stay “right” than make money.
