It was really special to receive this mask from Sam while watching the masquerade reveal on the date of a lunar eclipse in March. I was privileged to gain greater perspective on Sam's work while in Toledo last month, seeing the special screening of @joeyldotcom's documentary. While there, I met stupendous people, including @musicalnetta.🎲 Sam's been forming a really special tribe around his art - and Lanett's a great example of why I say that. She's been doing really thoughtful deep dives on Sam's masks - and she just wrote a thread on mine!👇 Very worth looking into - and perhaps something for all of us collectors to take inspiration on how we can independently use our gifts to illuminate the art we love.
